A bug or not a bug, that's the question.

Follow up on my Thinkpad's fan and cpu temperature sensor issue, it suddenly works now. The computer is able to detect the actual cpu temperature.

$ sensors

thinkpad-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
fan1: 0 RPM
CPU: +42.0°C
GPU: N/A
temp3: +32.0°C
temp4: +0.0°C
temp5: +42.0°C
temp6: +42.0°C
temp7: +42.0°C
temp8: N/A

# and the following was the old result:

thinkpad-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
fan1: 4256 RPM
CPU: N/A
GPU: N/A
temp3: +27.0°C
temp4: +0.0°C
temp5: N/A
temp6: N/A
temp7: N/A
temp8: N/A

I again do some research and the result is different, it seems that the sensor is not in fault. But the EC firmware issue, it might intermittently give bad signal or it might be some sort of bug.

I don't know. I am not that savvy.

But anyway, let's continue to monitor the issue. Hope that the problem won't return.

I reflashed the BIOS (going back one version, and reflash the new version), as it might help to correct the logic. So far so good.

I love the machine, I hope it can last forever.
